John G. "Jack" Muthert, 84, of Middletown, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina on February 10, 1932 to parents Urban and Edith (Wetherholt) Muthert.
Jack worked in the traffic signage department of the Ohio Department of Transportation District 8 for 53 years, retiring in 2006. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing & camping and was an avid dog lover. Jack was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Muthert is survived by his friends, JoAnne Combs & Ray (Crystall) Combs, Zack Combs and neighbor, Tom Bundren.
He was preceded in death by his parents
Prayer Service will be held Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Deacon John Lyons officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
