Jackie Collins

Jackie Collins, 65, of Middletown, died Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Bulan, Kentucky on July 16, 1937 to parents Edna (Rainey) Nichols Cuddy and the late Hargis Nichols.

Jackie attended Middletown High School. She retired from Dillards Department Store in 2000, after 16 years of service.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her husband of 47 years, Brack H. Collins, of Middletown; daughters Vicki (Bob) Burnside, and Beth (Steve) Riley, both of Middletown, and Joni (Harry) McKenzie of Trenton; her mother Edna Cuddy of Middletown; brother Doug (Winona) Nichols of Middletown; sisters Alma (Don) Murphy of Daphne, Alabama, Jenny (Sam) Rodriguez of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Brenda (Jim) Short of Middletown; brother-in-law Vernon (Ruby) Collins of Middletown; grandchildren Nick Fliehman of Cincinnati, Matthew & Loren McKenzie of Trenton, and Mason, Maggie, & Mollie Riley of Middletown; 11 nieces; and 11 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Hargis Nichols; her stepfather George L. Cuddy; brothers John & Paul Nichols; sister Betty Nance; and nephew Charles Nance.

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 16, 2002 at 12:00 noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. with Rev. James L. Kinser officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service Saturday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
