Jae Bong Kim

Jae Bong Kim 79, of Middletown, died on September 29, 2023, at Ohio's Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties.  He was born on April 19, 1944, in Korea, to Byungmook and Chae Soon (Han) Kim.

Jae Bong had a green thumb and loved gardening and having a perfect lawn.  He was a mechanic and enjoyed working with tools and visiting Home Depot and Lowes.  Jae Bong was a Korean Army Veteran serving in Vietnam War fighting alongside Americans.  In his free time, Jae loved watching Korean television shows.  

Jae Bong is survived by his son, Bosong Tony (Samantha) Kim; daughter, Jung Mee Jamie (Charles) Kim; grandchildren, Zackery (Elizabeth Merritt) Kim, Tiffany Kim, Aly Kim (Dr. Alan) Hu, James Y Kim; great grandchild, Thomas Kim; sisters, Jae Soo Kim, Jae Boon Kim, Jae Rang Heathico, KC Downey, Sue Lee (Dr. Young K) Jin, Kay K (Myung S. Jun) Lee; brothers, Jae Kyung Kim, Jae Choon Kim, Jaeil Kim, Seung Soon (Insun) Lee, Chang Soon (Hyekyung) Lee, and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Jong Pil Lee; mother-in-law, Ok Kyoung Lee; brother-in-law, Ancel William "Bill" Downey.

Funeral service will be Tuesday October 3, 2023, at 3:00pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd, (at Bonita Drive), Middletown, OH  45044, with Rev. Sue Lee Jin and Young Nam Park officiating.  

Private family interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
