James Douglas Mc Laughlin

James Douglas “Doug” Mc Laughlin, 89, of Middletown, died Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Bickford Assisted Living. He was born in Middletown on June 3, 1928 to parents Douglas Dale and Marie (Martin) Mc Laughlin.

Doug worked in the Toll Department of Ohio Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1980. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of Holy Family Parish. Doug was a very loving husband, father and grandfather who always took care of his family.

He will be greatly missed by his son, Randy E. Mc Laughlin; grandchildren, Megan Mc Laughlin, Christian Mc Laughlin & Ryan Mc Laughlin; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Gary) Gustin; nephew, Jeff Gustin; and nieces, Jennifer Gustin & Ann Mc Laughlin. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Shirley L. (Gibbons) Mc Laughlin and his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at church. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
