James E. Geran

James E. “Jim” Geran, 56 of Middletown, died Saturday February 3, 2007 at his residence. He was born August 8, 1950 in Middletown to parents Edward A. and Dora E. (Ross) Geran.

Jim retired from AK Steel after 32 years, he was an avid golfer, and he worked at Wildwood Golf Club.

He is survived by his wife Brenda (Odle) Geran, a son James (Tammy) Geran Jr., a daughter Stacy (Adam) Smith, his parents, a sister Sondra (Terry) Oldfield, brother-in-laws Boyd (Nancy) Odle, and Bruce Odle, two grandchildren Tyler James Geran, and Kristin Glover, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday February 7, 2007 at 12:00 Noon at the Wilson Schramm Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Rev. Shawn Watson. Visitation will be Wednesday 1 hour prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jim Geran memorial fund C/O any First Financial Bank( donations will be used to furnish rooms in the cancer center at the new Middletown Hospital).
