James Larry Hasty, 70, of Monroe, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, November 23, 2014, at his home. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on December 11, 1943 to parents William Earl and Frances Elizabeth (Ferguson) Hasty.
Larry retired from AK Steel after 40 years & was baptized in 1984 into the Old Regular Baptist Church, West Chester, Ohio. In May of this year, Larry & Rebekah celebrated 50 years of marriage.
He is survived by his wife, Rebekah (Wagner) Hasty; son, 1LT William Henry (Melanie) Hasty; daughter, Polly Elizabeth Hasty; granddaughter, Kellie-Rebekah Kaye Stumpf; step grandchildren Trenton Hughes, Taylor Russell & Tarrynn Russell; brother, Vernon L. (Ruth) Hasty Sr. and; brother-in-laws, Jim Wagner & Leslie (Pat) Wagner, also numerous nieces & nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Betty Wagner; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nellie & Henry Wagner & nephew Todd L. Wagner.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Rev. Steve Grooms and Rev. Stan Daniels officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
