James Morton Kirk

James Morton Kirk, 91, formerly of West Elkton, died Monday, February 21, 2005, at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Home. He was born in West Elkton, on February 13, 1914 to parents Albert and Lillian (Heffron) Kirk.

Mr. Kirk was a member of the Friends Meeting House Church in West Elkton. He worked as a printer for Armco Steel Corporation for 20 years and served as West Elkton Town Clerk for 35 years.

James is survived by three children, James R. Kirk, Keith A. Kirk, & Pam Terrill; nine grandchildren, Debra Lindsey, Diana Kirk, James Kirk, Angela McGinnis, Sonya Griffin, Kevin Kirk, Frank Kirk, Melissa Graw, and Brian Graw; 16 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Elizabeth (Hurley) Kirk; his parents; and two brothers, George & Don Kirk.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 25, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown, with Reverend Joan Schofield officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton.
