James A. "Jim" Patrick, 68, of Trenton, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Middletown on September 18, 1955 to parents, Leonard Patrick and Anne (Schooler) Derksen.
Jim worked as the business manager for Edgewood City Schools, retiring in 2015. He was a devoted member of Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder. Jim was also a member of the MENSA Society. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf, especially with his friends at Wildwood Golf Club, where he was a member.
Most of all, Jim loved his family and he will be greatly missed by his wife, Janis L. (Chamberlain) Patrick; daughters, Brandi (Rob) Ballantyne & Annie (Collin Hammonds) Patrick; grandchildren, Katie Ballantyne, Connor Ballantyne & Parker Ballantyne; brother, Tim (Brenda) Patrick; niece, Sarah (Steve) Martin; nephew, Michael (Crystal) Patrick; special niece, Dani Slagle; and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Patrick.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to the staff of Suncrest Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 8, 2024 from10:00 am to12:00 noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Testas officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.
