Janis A. Cravens, 56, of Monroe, died on October 13, 2007, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Middletown, on November 28, 1950 to parents Robert and Margaret A. (Erb) Cravens.
Janis spent 27 years in public relations, retiring in 2002 from the Ohio Department of Transportation. She was a lifetime member of the Navy Club and the Tin Can Sailors Association. Janis loved animals.
Janis was preceded in death by her mother.
She is survived by her father, Robert K. Cravens of Monroe; one sister: A. Paulette (Arnluso N.) Lujan of Middletown; her aunt & uncle, John and Velma Erb of Middletown; godsons, Eric & Damon Lewis, special friends, Jim & Marilyn Carter, Mary Beth Lewis, Mr. & Mrs. Wayne McQuire, Bionicio & LaRetta Olivares and many other special friends and relatives.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Woodside Cemetery Chapel with Reverend James Anderson officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
