Jean C. McMahon, 94, of Middletown, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Kettering Medical Center. She was born in Cincinnati on July 5, 1923 to parents George and Catherine (Brockhage) Kemper.
Jean had worked for Railway Supply & Maintenance Company as a supervisor in the accounting department, as a purchasing agent for McGraw Construction and as a bookkeeper of Herb Plumbing. She was an active member of Holy Family Parish-Holy Trinity Church and previously St. Mary's Church. Jean was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader for many years and was a life member, as well as served as treasurer, of Delta Chi Sigma.
Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her daughter, Kathleen Molnar; son, Bill (Jean) McMahon; grandchildren, Bill (Amy), John, Robert, Clare (Andrew) & Michael Molnar; great grandchildren, Carolyn & Julie; and numerous nieces, nephews & friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. “Bill” McMahon in 2008; son-in-law, Ronald Molnar; parents; sister, Dorothy Stapleton; and brothers, Cletus Kemper & Melvin Kemper.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to Hospice of Dayton and Brookdale Oakwood Assisted Living for their loving care.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at church. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
