Jean Kast Nein

Jean Kast Nein, age 93, of Columbus, died Saturday, January 31, 2004 at the Columbus Alzheimer’s Care Center. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on December 12, 1910 the daughter of Ernest and Frances Kast. She attended Bliss Business College. She was active in women’s organizations and school and church organizations in the many cities in which she lived. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Henry Nein, in 1982. She is survived by her son Lawrence F. Nein of Cornelius, NC, daughter Joan Nein Zeigler of Columbus, OH, son J. Thomas Nein of Fletcher, NC; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm Monday, February 2, 2004 at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, Ohio, where friends will be received one hour prior to the service from 12 noon to 1 pm. Interment at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown. If desired, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio, 3311 Tremont Road, Columbus, OH 43221 in her memory.
