Jean M. (Wheeler) Lester, 78, of Middletown, died Wednesday, August 30, 2006, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Blainey, Kentucky on February 17, 1928 to Cheatwood and Emma (Bayes) Wheeler.
Jean was an active member of Christian Enterprise Baptist Church. She worked as an assembler for Miami Carey in Monroe for 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was a devoted mother & grandmother who enjoyed crochetting and loved to shop.
Mrs. Lester is survived by her husband, Ishmael Lester of Middletown; her son, Dale (Madalyn) Lester of Hamilton; sisters, Jane Jetters of Dayton and Janet Gilliam of Ashland, KY; brothers, Earl Wheeler of Dayton, Jeff Wheeler of Blainey, KY, Elwood Wheeler of Florida, and Paul Wheeler of Louisa, KY; four grandchildren, Angie (Lee) Salsgiver, Jenny (Joe) Geyer, Vince Jollivette, and Jake Jollivette; four great grandchildren, Kendra (Chance) Walters, Laken Salsgiver, Branden Geyer, and Catty Geyer; a great great granddaughter, Cammy Walters; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jess Wheeler; sister, Irene Thompson; and parents-in-law, Vince & Easter Lester.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), with Reverend James Anderson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
