Jean Stamper, 76, of Middletown, died Monday, October 3, 2016, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in London, Ohio on March 23, 1940 to parents Stewart and Lula Mae (Stevens) Edwards.
Jean worked in the billing office of Middletown Regional Hospital for 30 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and volunteered with the Emergency Food Program.
Mrs. Stamper is survived by her husband, Donald Stamper; sons, Eric Scott Stamper, David Stamper, Jeffrey (Terri Anderson) Stamper & Robert Stamper; sisters, Catherine Brown & Myra Sue Edwards; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Ellen (Francis) Fuller, Nancy (Cary) Fenton & Virginia Ann (Oscar) Riley; and brother, William Stewart Edwards.
Memorial service will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Henry & Dani Ortega Folgoso officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. A committal service will be held Saturday at 10:30 am in Section 22 of Woodside Cemetery.
