Jeanne L. Hutzelman, a resident of Willow Brook Christian Community in Delaware, Oh for the past three years, and formerly of Hamilton, Oh died on Friday evening, March 5, 2004 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, Ohio at age 82. She was born in Middletown on March 18, 1921 to Charles and Emma (Theobald) Thompson.
Mrs. Hutzelman is a member of Redeemer United Church of Christ. She served in the Coast Guard in WWII as a yeoman first class. After business school she worked at the Cincinnati Bell Telephone Company as a Customer Service Representative. In addition to being a farm wife, for many years she baked wedding cakes. She was an advisor for 4-H for over twenty years.
She is survived by two daughters; Martha L. Hutzelman, Washington, D.C. and Janet S. (Robert) Weidig, of Powell, Oh. two grandchildren Isolda Marie Meade, New York, NY and Heather Renee Weidig of Powell, Oh.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years Donald E. Hutzelman, in 1995 a sister Emily Thompson and a brother Harvey Thompson.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:30pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Drive, Middletown. Visitation from 1:30pm Tuesday until time of the service. Rev. Kim Katterheinrich officiating. Interment at Woodside Cemetery.
