Jeanette R. (Koontz) Paullin Long, 87, of Hanover Township, died Saturday, November 16, 2002 at her residence. Jeannette was born on December 16, 1914 in Eaton, Oh., to Clem Earl and Clara (Leis) Koontz.
She was a resident of Jacksonburg, Oh. until moving to Hanover Township, and she was a member of Jacksonburg United Methodist Church. Jeannette worked as a cook for Schroder Manor, in Hamilton for six years and the Wayne Township Board of Elections for twenty years.
She is survived by a son, William E.(Patricia) Paullin of Wayne Twp.; a daughter, Janice (Raymond) Zehler of Hanover Twp.; step-daughter, Maxine (Ernest) Jones of Seven Mile, Oh.; a brother, Harold "Ted" (Virginia) Koontz of Eaton, Oh.; three sisters, Virginia (Tom) Weaver of West Manchester, Oh., Laura (Clyde) Sword of Jacksonburg, and Jeanne Clayman of Eaton, Oh.; 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John H. Paullin; second husband, Willard Long; one son, John Richard Paullin; her parents; two brothers, Robert and William Koontz; and three sisters Alice Schul, Katherine Mikesell, and Joanne Back.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2002, at 12:30p.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita, with Rev. Jeff Motter officiating. Interment will be at Elk Creek Cemetery in Madison Twp.. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 19, 2002 from 11 a.m.- 12:30p.m. at the funeral home.
