Jefferson "Jeff" Gaunt

Jefferson E. “Jeff” Gaunt, 88, of Middletown, died Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Spring Hills Middletown. He was born in Middletown on April 5, 1930 to parents Edward F. and Rose (Hall) Gaunt.

Jeff worked as a welder for Armco/AK Steel for 39 years, retiring in 1992. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. Jeff loved being outdoors, enjoying fishing and duck hunting.

Mr. Gaunt is survived by his sons, Jeff (Rosita) Gaunt & Kevin Gaunt; five grandsons, two step grandchildren; five great grandchildren, one step great grandchild; and two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara J. (Day) Gaunt in 2015; and his parents.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
