Jerry Cottle

Jerome F. “Jerry” Cottle, 82, of Middletown, died on Thursday, December 27, 2007, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born in Middletown on December 30, 1924 to Manila and Anna (Hartman) Cottle.

Mr. Cottle was a teacher for over twenty years with the Middletown City School System. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during World War II.

Jerry is survived by, one daughter: Kathy McAdams; one son: Larry (Deanna) Cottle of New Lebanon; one sister: Sister Bridgett Cottle; five grandchildren, Michelle (Joe) DeBacker, Marcie Russell, Melissa (Chris) Riegel, Robb (Patricia) Cottle and Teresa (Adam) Dambrowski and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Patrick Cottle and a sister, Peggy Cottle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 31, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church with Msgr. Paul Metzger as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, 2007 from 1-3 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Care of Middletown, 1131 Manchester Ave. Middletown, OH 45042

The family thanks the staff at Atrium Medical Center, Mt. Pleasant and Hospice Care of Middletown.
