Jerry L. Westfall

Rev. Jerry L. Westfall, 64 of Middletown died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006 at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Champaign County, Ohio on March 5, 1942 to parents Donald L. & Louise ( Chess) Westfall.

He graduated from West Liberty High School in 1960, Bellhaven College in Jackson, MS in 1973 and received his masters from Reform Theological Seminary in 1976. His first pastorate was at Pickens Presbyterian Church in Pickens, MS, then Englewood Presbyterian. Nashville, TN, Springhill Presbyterian, and De Graff Presbyterian both in Logan County, he served at Blue Ball Presbyterian from 1991 to 1996 when he retired. In retirement he did guest preaching in the Presbytery and pulpit supply at New Paris Presbyterian in New Paris, Oh from 2001 to 2005. He was a veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by his wife Michele Westfall, Middletown, one brother Donald L. (Kendra) Westfall, Bellefontaine, and one sister Judy Blosser, West Liberty. Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Daryl Westfall in 1964 and Edward Westfall in 2005.

Funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 am at the Monroe Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Pat Warren and Rev. Tim McQuade officiating. Visitation at the church from 10:00 am until time of service.

Interment will be Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, Ohio.
