Jewel D. Butler, 82, of Monroe, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Manchester, Kentucky on May 6, 1933 to parents Toleman and Malvie (Bowling) Jackson.
Jewel had worked in housekeeping at Mount Pleasant Retirement Village for 22 years.
Jewel is survived by her husband, Shirlin "Red" Butler of Monroe; son, William (Tanya) Butler of Franklin, OH; brothers, Gene (Judy) Jackson of Columbus, IN, Art (Delores) Jackson of Fort Myers, FL, Walter (Peggy) Jackson of Alquina, IN & Dwayne (Joyce) Jackson of Everton, IN; sisters, Linda (Don) Sullivan of Hamilton, OH & Betty (Bill) Fox of Connersville, IN; grandchildren, Paula Butler, Tina (Randy) Fenton, Brandi (Bill) Noe, Emilee (Brian) Trester & Dallas Butler; and great grandchildren, Paul Butler, Daniel Butler, Jarred & Josh Fenton, Lincoln Noe and Ellee & Elijah Trester.
She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Butler; infant daughter, Lillie Butler; parents; brothers, Esless "Jack" Jackson, Jerry Jackson, two infant brothers, A.G. Jackson & Paul Jackson; and sister, Ruthann Kenworthy.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Keith Risner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties, 5940 Long Meadow Dr., Franklin, Ohio 45005.
