Jo Ann E. Smallwood

Jo Ann Smallwood, 85, of Liberty Township, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at home. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 3, 1931.

Jo Ann was raised in Hamilton and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1950. She had formerly worked for Bethany Christian Nursery School. She was a member of Lakota Hills Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smallwood is survived by her two children, Gary Stern of Cedar Grove, Indiana & Anita White of Liberty Township, Ohio; stepson, Douglas Smallwood of Kentucky; sister, Joyce Smith of Kentucky; grandchildren, Amanda Winkler, Deanna Shafer, Sara Bulmer, Emma Stern & Ben Stern; great grandchildren, Noah Michael Shafer, Layla Grace Winkler, Maci Lynn Strickland & Alice Marie Bulmer; and many other loving family & friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, CB Smallwood; sons, James E. Stern & Dale R. Stern; and brother, Richard Seyberth.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Travis Smalley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
