Joan (Catching) Farquis, 83, of Middletown, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on October 17, 1928 to parents John David and Bernice (Bailey) Catching.
Mrs. Farquis was a lifelong member of St. Luke United Presbyterian Church. She was a home maker but did spend several years working at Farquis Insurance Agency and Middletown Paper Board.
Mrs. Farquis is survived by her husband, Walter R. Farquis; daughters, Betsy (Greg) DeHart, Barb Wilson; grandchildren, Jonathan DeHart, Evan DeHart, David (Julie) Knapp, Eric Knapp, Emily (Aaron) Ruppert and Michael Wilson; great grandchild, Wyatt Ruppert, many nieces, nephews and loving family and friends, and son-in-law, Scott Middleton.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Susan Middleton; 7 siblings and son-in-law, Mike Wilson.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke United Presbyterian Church, 280 N. Breiel Blvd., Middletown with Rev. Dr. Reginald Olson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at church. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
