Joan Mary Richter

Joan Mary Richter, 50, left this earth on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 to live eternally with the Lord in the heavenly home He has prepared for her. She was born in Middletown, on March 19, 1957 to parents Donald and Emilie (Bangs) Richter, graduated from Middletown High School and attended Kent State University.

Joan was well known in the Middletown area for her work with animals. She loved animals and they loved her. Joan was the owner of Whisker Watch, a pet sitting service that she began in 1993. It was so comforting to know that Joan would give just as good care to your pet as you would (often better!). She also worked at the Butler County Animal Shelter and All About Pet Care Veterinary Clinic. Joan was very artistic and enjoyed showering her family and friends with creative gifts.

Joan is survived by her father, Donald Richter and step-mother Linda, of Springboro; and two sisters, Ellen (Larry) Karasevich of Houston, TX and Ann (Chris) Wittoesch of Loveland, OH; step-brother, Chris Alexander; two step-sisters, Ann Jewell and Nicole Wijnans; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and her special friend, Doug Reedy.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Jeff Sherron; and her mother, Emilie Richter.

Graveside Service for friends and family will be held Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Woodside Cemetery (section 10) with Pastor Mark Cary officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 5:30-8:00 PM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown.
