JoAnn Neal, 70, of Madison Township, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, at home. She was born in Middletown on December 18, 1942 to parents Roy and Dorothy (Swafford) Jackson.
Mrs. Neal worked as Dr. Langworthy's nurse for twenty years and was president of Neal Excavating. She was one of the founding members of the Madison Life Squad and ran on the squad.
Mrs. Neal is survived by her husband, William "Rannie" Neal; three sons, Gregory Neal, Barry (Suzanne) Neal and Mickey Neal; daughter, Rebecca (Phil) Fultz; five brothers, Ernest (Susan) Jackson, Bob (Joyce) Jackson, Rev. Don (Ruth Ann) Jackson, Rick Jackson, Steve Jackson; four sisters, Arlene Prater, Geneva Smith, Wilma (Kenny) Watkins, Brenda (Don) Lairson; ten grandchildren, Donald "Willie" Neal, Nick Neal, Sara Getz, Laura (Ryan) Cornett, Kelly Fultz, Devin Fultz, Dustin Fultz, Kaitlin (Mike) Stone, Mickey Neal, Jr.and Joshua Neal; three great grandchildren, Peyton Neal, Brett Neal and Evie Fultz; and her mother Dorothy Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Jackson and sister, Betty Neal.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10:00 am at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Donald Jackson officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton.
