John A. Sherman

John A. Sherman, 64, of Middletown, died Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Dayton on July 22, 1951 to parents Elmer and Clara (Friezell) Sherman.

John worked as a delivery driver for Entemann's Bakery for 16 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and Knights of Columbus #1610.

Mr. Sherman is survived by his wife, Candy (Neal) Sherman; step son, Daron (Crystal) Paxson; step daughter, Jenlyn Paxson; grandchildren, Tyler Paxson, Tabitha Paxson, Ethan Paxson & Greyson Martin; step brothers, Tom Bailey, Bill Bailey, Kenny (Darlene) Bailey, Joe (Martha) Sherman, Doug (Peggy) Sherman, Jim (Becky) Sherman & Frank Sherman; step sister, Vickie (Mike) Myers; uncle, Paul Kinsey; special friend, Judy Davidson; and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Charlene Sherman; step brother, Dennis Sherman; sister, Debbie Sherman; step sister, Denise Bishop; step brother, Ron Bailey.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 20, 2015 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Fairmound Cemetery.
