John B. Esposito, 81, of Middletown, died Sunday, May 28, 2006 at Garden Manor Retirement Village. He was born as Giovanni Esposito, to Angelo & Carmela (Rossi) Esposito on April 17, 1925 in Middletown. He retired from Plumbers Supply Company of Dayton in 1986 where he was a manager. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Pacific, Bataan, & Corrigador during World War II. He was a member of Holy Family Parish.
John is survived by his daughter, Carmela M. (Michael) Cotter; a grandson, Sean M. Cotter; two sisters, Paula Inloes & Dora (William) Baudendistel; a special friend Rosemary Gall; and member of extended family, Cheri Bryant, all of Middletown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Esposito in 1996; his parents; and four brothers, Hugo, Pat, Carl, & Dominic Esposito.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish-St. John's Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) Middletown. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard.
