John D Hubbard

John D. Hubbard, 79, of Middletown, died on Sunday, June 15, 2003, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Middletown on January 12, 1924 to parents Frank R. and Myrle (Thompson) Hubbard.

Mr. Hubbard worked for Armco Steel Corp. as a furnace repairman for 39 1/2 years, retiring in 1983. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 218 and life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3809.

John is survived by one daughter, Patricia (Michael) Bowling of Franklin, OH; two sons, David Michael (Brenda) Hubbard of Fitzwilliams, NH, and Mark Stephen Hubbard of Middletown, OH; one sister, Dorothy H. Dunham of Middletown, OH; and 5 grandchildren .

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances L. Hubbard on July 7, 1988 and his parents.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 1:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Rev. Larry Sexton officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
