John E. Adrion, 80, of Monroe, died Monday, February 7, 2011, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born in Middletown on September 25, 1930 to parents Karl F. and Anna (Jackson) Adrion.
John retired as senior mailing machine operator for Armco Steel Corp. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir, longtime member of the Middletown Symphony, former business manager for the Civic Chorus and former trustee of the Middletown Historical Society.
Mr. Adrion is survived by many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles M. Adrion; and sisters, Ruth M. Kaden and Dorothy G. Gilbert.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Dr. David E. Moreland officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
