Sebald, John E. (Jack)

Age 87, passed peacefully at home, Friday, August 20, 2010. Jack was born April 17, 1923 in Middletown, Ohio to Arthur and Edna Sebald. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister. He married Louise Margerum in 1965 who passed in 1992.

Jack is survived by his son Mark (Ruby), and daughters Paula (Bob) Reister, Sheila (Steven) Berger, Linda (Eugene) Geisler, eight grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

Whether you knew him as Dad, Paps, Papaw or Jack he was a man of impeccable character, honesty, compassion and carried a great sense of humor. He was a proud veteran of World War II and in May, 2009 participated in the "Honor Flight" program for World War II veterans. He was a member of VFW Post #3809, American Legion Post #218 and a dedicated lifelong blood donor.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 28, 2010 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the Woodside Cemetery Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties, Renaissance Professional Village, 5904 Long Meadow Drive.
