John F. O’Connor, 63, of Middletown, passed away, Sunday January 30, 2005, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born on October 13, 1941, in New York City, NY to parents John P. and Elizabeth (Rezek) O’Connor.
Mr. O’Connor moved to Ohio in 1954, and then to Middletown in 1955. He retired after 30 years of public service with the city of Middletown. He was once a member of Eagles 528 and the Moose 501. His hobbies included bowling, working crossword puzzles, and video games.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Craft) O’Connor of Middletown; daughters, Edna Smith of Lebanon, Trina (Dave) Grehl of Mason, and Tracie (Ambrose) Watts of Franklin; a son, John L. O’Connor of Middletown; a stepson, Jeremy Burns of Kentucky; a sister, Judy (Bill) Heater of Germantown; six grandchildren; and two great granddaughters.
Mr. O’ Connor was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Joan Fields, and Jeanette Fryer.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at 2:00 p.m.at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Reverand James Anderson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the funeral from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
