John K. "Jack" Buffenbarger, 93, of Middletown, died on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Ohio's Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Cincinnati on March 10, 1929 to parents, James F. and Agnes (Kehm) Buffenbarger.
Jack retired from Armco Steel Corporation, having worked as a draftsman and designer in the Metal Products Division and Engineering Department. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Jack was always active in the community, having been a member of the 700 Club in Middletown and member of the Monroe Optimist Club and Monroe Lion's Club. He enjoyed staying active with the kids at Lemon-Monroe schools, as well as being a Cub Scout Master. He also enjoyed sports and was a big fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Kentucky Wildcats and Xavier Musketeers.
Jack is survived by his wife, Nancy (Newman) Buffenbarger; daughters, Amelia (Tom) Swartzbaugh & Andrea (Kevin) Wills; son, Ben (Kim) Buffenbarger; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brothers, James Bruce Buffenbarger & Robert Kimble Buffenbarger.
Memorial Service will be Friday, February 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown with Reverend Angelo Anthony officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
