John M. Oldfield

John M. Oldfield, 81, of Middletown, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Atrium Medical Center.  He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on November 18, 1942 to parents, Curtis and Molly (Crockett) Oldfield.

John graduated from Monroe High School and went on to work as a strand operator for Armco Steel Corporation. John enjoyed spending time outdoors, walking in the woods and for many years, when he was younger, he loved climbing mountains. He was a big sports fan and greatly enjoyed spending time hanging out with his grandkids.

Most of all John loved his family and he will be greatly missed by his wife, Nicole Jean (Cecere) Oldfield; sons, John (Bonita) Oldfield & Nick (Anita Duncan) Oldfield; daughter, Lori Caudill Oldfield; grandchildren, Holly Oldfield, Chris Oldfield, Amanda (Eric) Coffey, Alicia (Tim) Booth, Erika (David) Jones & Tristan Bennett; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Anna, Ruby, Thelma, Pearl, Mary Catherine & Elmie. 

Graveside Service will be Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Sunshine Ridge Cemetery in Blue Creek (Adams County), Ohio.
