John Robert Ifcic, 90, of Middletown, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather died Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Liberty of Middletown. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on December 5, 1919 to parents John and Mary (Drobnica) Ifcic.
John served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 218 and Disabled American Veterans Chapter #131, and Holy Family Parish. John worked for Armco Steel for 33 years as a Payroll Accountant.
Mr. Ifcic is survived by his wife, Martha Klingensmith; Sons, Michael J. (Nancy) Ifcic, Stephen J. (Marilyn) Ifcic, David V. (Lee) Ifcic; Daughters, Maryann V. Lacy, Kathleen M. (David) Harden, Sharon E. (Jerry) Porter; and 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Agnes Kinder, Magdalen Izor and Mary Hayes.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
