Johnny Clinton Coffey, 79, of Franklin, died Monday, December 5, 2016, at home. He was born in Thorn Hill, Tennessee on March 2, 1937 to parents Johnny and Sally (Singleton) Coffey.
John served his country in the United States Army and was a tool and die maker for Monsanto.
Mr. Coffey is survived by his wife, Velma Coffey; sons, Douglas Coffey, Dave Lentz; daughter, Leigh Lentz; sisters, Velva Warwick, Pauline Clement, Gynette Denton, Elsa Croucher and grandson, Matthew Coffey; granddaughter, Chelsea Coffey.
John was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, A.T. Coffey and Bill Coffey; sisters, Iva Ward and Pearl Lawson; wife, Phyllis Coffey.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 at 1:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Rev. Tommy Sartain officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
