Johnny Deaton, 79, of Middletown, died Friday, September 4, 2015, at Garden Manor Retirement Village. He was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on March 18, 1936 to parents Nelson and Sallie (Noble) Deaton.
Johnny served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a groundskeeper at Woodside Cemetery for 30 years retiring in 1987.
Mr. Deaton is survived by his wife, Glenda Spencer Deaton; nieces, Karen (Kevin) Feltner, Cathy (Patrick) Combs and Misti Allen; nephew, Eddie Deaton; great nieces, Amanda and Allison Feltner and many other loving nieces and nephews.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ed, Jim, Recil and Albert and sister Wanda May.
Graveside services and burial will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Woodside Cemetery, 1401 Woodside Blvd., Middletown with Reverend James Anderson officiating.
