Jon R. Prows, 77, of Middletown, died Thursday, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He attended University of Louisville, University of Iowa, and graduated with his associates degree in Arts & Sciences from University of Cincinnati. He worked for Armco Steel Corporation for 40 years. Jon served his country in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Antioch Shrine and the Masonic Lodge. He was an auto enthusiast who loved sports cars and vintage cars.
Jon is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Alice (Leighton) Prows; son Jeffrey Prows; daughters Stephanie Weidner and Janalyn Prows and her husband Ross C. Lepera; and grandchildren Jason R. Weidner, Sarah M. Weidner, Katherine Prows-Lepera, and Cristina Prows-Lepera. He was preceded in death by his parents Russell R. and Carolyn (Watters) Prows.
Reverend Rob Weingartner will officiate the funeral service. Graveside Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 218 Honorguard.
