Joseph Mark Bendel

Joseph Mark Bendel, 74, of Lebanon, died Monday, January 18, 2010, at Lebanon Country Manor. He was born in Middletown on September 18, 1935 to parents William and Loretta (Brannon) Bendel.

Mr. Bendel worked as a draftsman for Armco Steel Corporation. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and was active with St.Vincent dePaul.

He is survived by his son, Brian (Sherry) Bendel; daughter, Laura McCandless; sister, Kathy Barklay; five grandchildren; and many other loving family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Claire A. (King) Bendel in 2009; his parents; brother, William Bendel II; and sister, Martha Szabo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 22, 2010 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
