Joseph R. Oberschlake, 65, of Trenton, died on June 4, 2003, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Georgetown, Ohio on January 12, 1938 to parents Hugh E. and A. Ruth (Hilderbran) Oberschlake. Joseph served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 to 1959.
Mr. Oberschlake worked as a slab inspector for AK Steel Corporation, and retired in 1996, after 28 years. He was a member of the Dial Radio Club and Amanda United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Donna I. (Mathews) Oberschlake; two sons, Robert Glen Oberschlake, and William Joseph Oberschlake both of Trenton, OH; two brothers: Russell E. Oberschlake of Washington Court House, OH and Wendell H. Oberschlake of Bucyrus, OH; granddaughter, Megan Oberschlake of Middletown, OH; granddaughter, Ashley Oberschlake of Middletown, OH; granddaughter, Lesley Oberschlake of Trenton, OH.; a great granddaughter, Mira Eve Oberschlake of Middletown, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 6, 2003at 2:00 pm. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Pastor Leroy F. Chambliss officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
