Joseph S. Hocz, 58, of Trenton, died Sunday, October 15, 2006, at Dayton V.A. Hospital. He was born in Middletown on April 2, 1948 to parents Joseph and Mildred E. (MacDonald) Hocz.
Joe worked as a contractor in the construction business. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Post 218, Loyal Order of Moose #501, and Eagles Aerie #3458 and #528. Joe also was an avid golfer.
Mr. Hocz is survived by his wife, Janet M. (Hazelwood) Hocz of Trenton; a son, Chris Hardin of Cincinnati; mother, Mildred E. Hocz of Monroe; three sisters, Cheryl (Rick) Savon of Newark, DE, Bonny (Roger) Sprinkle and Denise Daniel, both of Middletown; a brother, Dwayne Hocz of Trenton; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Hocz.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown with Reverend James Huitger officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Mound Cemetery.
