Josephine E. Perkins, 88 of Middletown died Sunday February 5, 2006 at Otterbein. She was born in Middletown on February 17, 1917 to parents Steven and Mary (Orth) Klamo.
She was a switch board operator for Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond, Kentucky for 20 years retiring in 1993 and she was a cafeteria worker and teachers’ aide in Middletown schools for 10 years. Josephine was a member of Holy Family Parish, a former member of the smiling grandmothers.
Josephine is survived by a son Rick J. Perkins of Middletown, two daughters Victoria L. (John) Sennet of Middletown, and Rebecca E. Perkins of Kings Mills, Ohio, sisters Mary Cook of Lebanon, and Catherine Wallace of Hamilton, Grandchildren Mark Mayer, Damon Mayer, John (Danielle) Sennet, and Jennifer Sennet, and a great-granddaughter Samantha Sennet.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Emmitt Perkins in 1982, brothers Joe, Steve, and Vince Klamo, sisters Helen Moorman, Anne Schinner, and Louise Thinnes.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday February 8, 2006 at 10AM at Holy Family Parish-St. John’s Church with Fr. John Civille as Celebrant. Visitation will be Tuesday February 7, 2006 from 6-8PM at the Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.). Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
