Joyce A. Gillespie

Joyce A. "Boots" (Weatherwax) Gillespie, 82, of Washington Township, died Sunday, August 29, 2010, at Sycamore Hospital. She was born in Middletown on August 19, 1928 to parents Edgar and Ruth (Ottaway) Weatherwax.

Joyce had been owner/operator of the former Trenton Carry-Out and Beechwood Market, retiring in 1989.

Mrs. Gillespie is survived by her sons, Tom (Sandy) Gillespie, Mark (Joni) Gillespie and Paul (Donna) Gillespie and sister, Katheryn Hydler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gillespie in 1989; parents and brother, Paul Weatherwax.

Memorial service will be held Friday, September 3, 2010 at 6:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 1601 Jackson Lane, Middletown with Chaplain John Marquis officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 - 6:00 pm at church.
