Juanita J. Hamilton Downs

Juanita J. Hamilton Downs, 72 years old, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother & sister, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, February 29, 2004 at 4:30 pm.

She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on December 26, 1931 to parents Everett & Esther Martin and had lived in the Middletown area all of her life. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers Carl, Willard, and Oliver “Bud” Martin, and a sister, Venie Lynn.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Kathy (Sonny) Mason and Lisa (Greg) Ellen; sons Roland (Lynne) Hamilton and Rick (Candy) Hamilton; stepdaughters, Debbie Downs, Darlene Bowen, and Dinah Lewis; sisters Mary Goughenour of Trenton, OH, Rosalie Young of Denver, CO, Carol Capozio of Florida, Joyce Kenney, and Helen Hunt, both of Middletown, OH; brothers Bob Martin of Florida and Bill Martin of Arizona; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 5, 2004 at 10:00 AM at the First Pentecostal Church of God, 3100 Finley St., Middletown, with Pastor Jack Wilson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 – 8 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Thanks to the Nurses Care staff and a very special thank you to Donna Cope, Kim Miller, and our Aunt Helen Hunt for all their loving care for our mother.
