Katherine J. “Kitty” Dillon-Day, 65, of Turtlecreek Township, died Friday, October 13, 2017 after a 5 year struggle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on December 4, 1951 to parents Jim and Barbara (Long) Dillon.
With a career in education spanning more than three decades, Kitty positively impacted thousands of students ranging in age from kindergarten through college. She was a teacher, coach and counselor in the Houston, Texas area. She was a member of the Texas Association of College Admission Counselors, an officer in the local chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, an alumni Representative for BGSU, and an affiliated member with the Junior League of Greater Houston. She founded the Dillon-Day College Planning Services to help students navigate the college admission process.
Mrs. Dillon-Day is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Day, mother Barbara Dillon, siblings, Pat Dillon, Julie Kauffman and Ann (John) Hinkle, nephews and niece, Brian Dillon, Adam Dillon, Casey Hinkle and Maggie Hinkle and many other loving family and friends here and in the Houston, Texas area.
Katherine was preceded in death by her father.
Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at church. Private inurnment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
