Ken Rower, 33, of Monroe, Ohio, died Sunday, June 22, 2003, at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on November 10, 1969 to parents Franklin E. and Michaele (Otting) Rower.
Ken earned his bachelor of arts degree from Miami of Oxford, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He was a member of the honor societies of Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa fraternities, and a member of the Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. He first worked at Miami University of Hamilton as a financial aid advisor for 8 years, then for Netimpress as an editor. He enjoyed jogging, watersports, hiking, acting, and reading and writing short stories and novels.
Ken was very inspirational to the people around him and he was always optimistic, despite the challenges he faced.
Ken is survived by a son, Zachary Kenneth Rower of Centerville; parents Franklin E. and Michaele Rower of Monroe; two sisters, Megan M. (Rod) Trent of Middletown and Ingrid M. Eibin of Cincinnati; and one brother, Mathew E. Rower of Monroe.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 27, 2003 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady Of Sorrows Catholic Church, 330 Lebanon St., Monroe, with Father Terry Meehan officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 26, 2003 from 6-8 PM at the church, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm.
Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 131, 4610 Trenton-Franklin Rd., Middletown, OH 45042.
