Kenneth E. Sullivan, Sr., 73, of Franklin, Ohio, died on November 8, 2004, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Laurel County, Kentucky on August 31, 1931 to parents John H. and Ollie (Lock) Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was an industrial engineer for Burks Pumps, retiring in 1997.
He was a member and a past Worshipful Master of Lincoln Lodge #693 Free and Accepted Masons; past Excellent High Priest of Middletown Chapter #87 Royal Arch Masons; past Illustrious Master of Middletown Council 136 Royal and Select Masons; past Eminent Commander of Middletown Commandery #71; past Worthy Patron of Prosser Chapter of Eastern Star #367; a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, the Antioch Temple Shrine and past president of the Middletown Shrine Club. He was knighted as a knight of the York Cross of Honour. Mr. Sullivan was also a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie L. (Woods) Sullivan of Franklin; two sons: Steve (Shirley) Sullivan of Hartselle, AL and Kenny (Nanette) Sullivan of Springfield, OH; two sisters: Bernice DeHart of Franklin, OH and Della Gibbs of London, KY; two brothers: Bob Sullivan of Monroe, OH and Denver Sullivan of CA; grandchildren Heather, Stephanie, Colleen, Justin, Lytha and Tonya ; great grandchildren, Caden, Erin, Katy and Callie.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Charlie and Estel Sullivan and sister, Kathleen Sullivan.
Funeral Service will be held Friday Nov. 12, 2004 at 11:00 AM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Wolfinbarger and Reverend James Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, November 11, 2004 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., at Bonita Dr., Middletown, OH. Prosser Chapter #367 services will be at 7:00 PM. A Masonic Service by Lincoln Lodge # 693 at 7:30pm followed by a Scottish Rite Ring Service. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Military services by American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard.
