Kenneth L. "Ken" Lindsay, 75, of Middletown, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Middletown on January 7, 1937 to parents Charles Lee and Opal (Carter) Lindsay.
Ken worked as a sales manager for Jefferson Smurfitt for 43 years. He attended Earlham College & Ohio State University & earned a doctorate degree in Basket Weaving. In October 1976, Ken was the recipient of the precious gift of a kidney from his sister, Joanne Lickliter, which sustained him throughout the remainder of his life.
Mr. Lindsay is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Jackson) Lindsay; sons, Gary (Debbie) Hines & James (Molly) Lindsay; daughters, Tana (Ron) Barker & Lisa Banks; sisters, Linda (Ralph) Hughes & Joanne (Bruce) Lickliter; 9 grandchildren, Lindsay & Keith Barker, Travis & Katy Banks, Tommy & Michele Miller, Meghan Keith, Chelsea & Charles Lindsay; and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 9, 2012 at 10:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Kenny Brewer officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
