L. Susan Sheley Gabbard

L. Susan Sheley Gabbard, 69, of Monroe, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, July 14, 2018. She was born on May 4, 1949 to parents Edward and Marian (Dome) Sheley.

Susan graduated from Manatee High in 1968, in Bradenton, Florida. She worked for Bradenton County Schools until moving to Middletown in 1972, after which she began working with the mentally challenged, retiring in 2011.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her parents and sisters, Sandy & Diana.

She leaves behind her lifelong companion and friend, Wilson Gabbard Jr.; four devoted daughters, Lori (David) Moore, Lisa (Eric) Duncan, Amy Johnson & Tara (Dustin) Lawson; nine grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with her grandson, Skyler Duncan officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Springboro Cemetery.
