Larry K. Conarroe

Larry K. Conarroe, 74, of Middletown, died Thursday, January 19, 2012, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Middletown on November 9, 1937 to parents Charles C. and Mary R. (Cunningham) Conarroe.

Larry worked for AK Steel for 44 years, retiring as a foreman in slab mill maintenance in 2003. He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the VFW. He was an avid golfer and member of Wildwood Golf Club and was also an avid bowler. He was formerly a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, the Orioles and the Masonic Lodge and was a past exalted ruler of Elks #257.

Mr. Conarroe is survived by his wife, Karen S. (Youtsler) Conarroe; sons, Kent (Jessica), Chuck, David (Dawn) & Andrew (Jenny); daughters, Robyn (Jamie), Kim & Jodi (Jeff); sister, Rosy (Roger) Burchett; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marcella; parents; brothers, Charles W. Conarroe & Millard Conarroe and sister, Phyllis Jean Conarroe.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Funeral Service will be Monday, January 23, 2012 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Reverend Marion Barnes officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 pm at Wildwood Golf Club.
