LaRue Ginter, 93, of Carlisle, died Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Kentucky on April 14, 1916 to parents Milton and Elizabeth (Parks) Ginter.
Mr. Ginter worked at Armco Steel for 35 years. He was a member of Carlisle Fist Church of God. LaRue enjoyed farming with his father while raising his family; he helped to form the first fire dept. in Madison Twp. and was a charter member of the Trenton Lions Club. LaRue enjoyed visiting with family and friends and he never met a stranger.
Mr. Ginter is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Julia (Mann) Ginter; son, Bill (Dear Friend Kathy Oakland) Ginter and daughter, Martha (Bill) Forlines and granddaughters, Beth (Jeff) Mills and Amanda (David) Harris, and grandson Jamie (Chris) Johnson; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
LaRue was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Irvine Ginter; nephew, Roger Irvine Johnson; sister, Ruth Johnson.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 1:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Rev. Charles Rice and Bill Mann officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
