Laura Alice Mcquinn

Laura Alice McQuinn, 89, of Middletown, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Frenchburg, Kentucky on July 3, 1926 to parents Roy and Bessie (Miller) Smallwood.

Laura loved her family. She enjoyed gardening - especially her flower garden, making jewelry, genealogy, and was a harness racing enthusiast for more than 50 years.

Mrs. McQuinn is survived by her husband of 70 years, Silas C. McQuinn; four children, Judy Smith, Brenda McQuinn, Scott (Jen) McQuinn & Leasa Seemann; four grandchildren, Terry Adams, Greg (Marina) Adams, Johnie (Angela) Adams & Adam Seemann; and four great grandchildren, Alex, Katie, Brandon & Elena Adams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Omer Smallwood & Charles Smallwood; and sisters, Mary Spencer & Ella Mae Noble.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.
