Laura 'Sam' Gump

Laura “Sam” Gump, 78, of Middletown, died Wednesday, October 27, 2004, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Magoffin County, Kentucky on June 26, 1926 to parents Ashland and Serina (Smith) Patrick.

Laura is survived by her husband, Jerry Gump of Middletown, OH; a daughter, Bobbie (Richard) Woodgeard of Johnstown, OH; two sons, John Peters of Ostrander, OH, and David Peters of Chillicothe, OH; a sister, Daisy Venz of Carroll, OH; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Carl & Ruben Patrick.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 29, 2004 from 5-7 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 1, 2004 at 2:00 PM at WARE Funeral Home in Chillicothe, OH. with a one hour visitation prior to the service from 1-2 pm. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Chillicothe.
